Yeah, the reactions of Serena's fans on twitter can be pretty succinctly summed up by

Bit sad that Delpo's not putting up more of a fight. Pretty sure that Djoko will have surpassed Federer's Grand Slam count by the time he's done (unless injury does him in in the near term).

Serena is a great champion but she has plenty of previous form for behaving like this (Clijsters incident). Always seems to happen at the US Open as well.

Anyway, well done to Osaka.
Faking injury/calling timeout to stall opponent momentum has long been part of her gameplan

This was just a variation on the theme

Djokovic is a great player and arguably the best athlete to play the game
i don't think anyone on here denies that...i think he will be the first male player in the open era to win all 4 majors at least 3 times...just needs 2 more french opens and if he maintains this form, he will probably beat even nadal on clay...

Djoko is ahead of Nadal for me more well rounded record if you are including the year end championships.

Djokovic > Nadal (more rounded)
Federer > Djokovic (more Slam titles)
Nadal > Federer (head-to-head)

it's enough to make your head spin
I don't consider H2H as something very significant what is Nadal-Fed h2h minus clay I am sure it would be closer. For me its Fed as a clear number Nadal and Novak are 2a and 2b. If Nadal gets another Wimbledon or Australian he will be back at 2a, however if Djoko wins a French again he may well be clear number 2.

It's so frustrating seeing non-tennis fans tweeting outrage about how Serena was treated and getting hundreds and thousands of RTs for it. I get that Serena transcends the sport somewhat, and it's cool a lot of the time, but it means she has some really ridiculous fans who will adamantly defend her no matter what she does.
Yeah, but that's what sports fans are always like. It's just been amplified because internet feminists decided that one of the world's richest and most powerful women being correctly penalised for acting like a bell-end during a sporting event was the hill they wanted to die on.

is murray done (as a top 5 player and a perennial major contender) at this point or is it too early to tell?

Another couple of depressing years of Djokovic/Nadal dominance coming up I reckon.

Oh yeah, he will most likely lose but I didn't expect it to be competitive and entertaining. Good match so far.
