3 reds. If it wasn't three reds it'd be difficult to care about the umpire thinking he had hit it, but as it is...Have they showed hawekeye for the kohli lbw yet?
The toss doesn't make a difference (so I've been told).Contrast that with Root, only 4 tosses won in a row
Ah they didn't show it on Sony I think. Sucks for England. Even I'm pissed off about it. The third umpire didn't even seem to consider that it might be bat on pad, and just jumped to "yes bat on ball, not out". Ridiculous stuff.3 reds. If it wasn't three reds it'd be difficult to care about the umpire thinking he had hit it, but as it is...
England would be 3-0 down by now had that happened with Kohli. The toss doesn't make a difference (so I've been told).
Yes tell that to the team play day/night test with a red ball at Lords. Over 5 tests it does even out, law of avg, but not when the same teams wins all 5 or 4 in a row.The toss doesn't make a difference (so I've been told).
Drops are the kind of luck which you could argue a batsman who's batting well deserves a bit of, but the umpire ****ing up is different.
dubious umpiring has influenced games since forever. nigel llong in adelaide didn't change the underlying problem of trent boult and tim southee impersonating 2006 steve harmison in that series. This one is a bit dodgier than a drop though, in so much that he should've been given out but wasn't.
It's not a day night test, you don't play them with red balls. India blew a fantastic chance on day two, and that's an end of it. It doesn't make any more difference than winning the toss in India, which I've been told is no difference. Stop whinging.Yes tell that to the team play day/night test with a red ball at Lords. Over 5 tests it does even out, law of avg, but not when the same teams wins all 5 or 4 in a row.
nah, gotta cover all 14 commentators wagesDoes Sky not have HotSpot? Surely that would've proven what the noise was?
Ali cook lost every toss in india in 2012......toss helps for sure but good teams win regardless. The toss doesn't make a difference (so I've been told).
My point is that errors from the opposition are and should be part of the game. It's what makes sports compelling.you can't really argue whether a batsman playing well deserves luck or not, it's just a handling error by the opposition that gets punished.
I think they've already started treating this as an ODI now.Kohli and Rahane have batted remarkably well so far. Seen off the new ball without taking any chances and then scored runs through patient strike rotation.
Just need 50 overs more of this **** fro these two and then we might have a chance.
Root's a real sore loser under that impish exterior isn't he? Cribs when given out, cribs when a review goes the other way. Broad now joining in on the douchebaggery too but that's not unusual.
Who's whinging, someone who thinks toss didn't make a difference at Lords or me who's countering the argument that (only) Kohli's been incredibly lucky? BTW you still did win 4 tosses in India, so stop with your made up stories. It's not a day night test, you don't play them with red balls.
