His FC record is excellent and he's been consistently running through teams with India A. They probably need to keep him away from the T20 side and groom him for Tests. But it's difficult to see a spot opening up soon.

imo, we could really do with a good left arm pacer. Would help us with our tail removal issue.
I think Shami and Bumrah are going to be good at this. England's lower order is an anomaly. Most teams don't have a guy with 10 fc hundreds batting at number 9.

Although we have a very good pace attack already, I don't think it would hurt to try out Siraj against the Windies, after seeing how well he's performed.

I really don't think he is as good as is being made out, but I would definitely get him over Shardul in ODIs anyway - no spot in the tests I think.

Yeah, like I said somewhere earlier, Siraj is the only non-regular that I think can do a job on the international stage. Thakur, Chahar and Khaleel look very mediocre, although the latter is still very young and improving fast.

Siraj and Khaleel are very raw though, they've started cricket very late like Umesh but unlike him only have pace at this stage and little else. Hopefully we get to see more of them as this is mostly based off IPLs, T20s and highlights.

Thing is, Siraj is so bad at T20s he kinda gets smacked everywhere and looks really bad, even though he seems a good FC bowler. That's why judging him on IPL performances or just T20 or OD is dangerous.

These days, he is not trying to bowl as fast as he used to; he is about mid to high 130s now.

Australia up next after SA & England not working out.

Got pace attack to compete but no sure I can see too many changes to the top 6 bar Shaw for Rahul. Maybe you guys got a better feel for Vihari.

Keeper and away spinner also up for debate..

If it didn't happen in SA-England, it certainly won't happen in Australia.

Surely Kohli will also have a lean trot at some point. Shame but there you go.

Our bowlers wont even get helpful conditions to bowl in in Australia. SA was the best chance and we blew it. Pretty rubbish overseas leg once again.

I thing that this series has done is ensure that Saha will be back, once he is fit.
Away spinner is more interesting; some one other than Ashwin or Jadeja I would think.

Indeed.

Out of Joburg, Auckland, Wellington and Adelaide on the previous leg and Cape Town, Birmingham and Southampton this time, we should have at least won a couple. Sad.

It's not that Ashwin is bad, it's that he should be ashamed.

That's the only way I can put it.
