Agreed, don't listen to these repugnant amoeba in this thread. They're professional contrarians.India should play this team for the fourth Test. It's the perfect balance, with proven Test cricketers and a quality, experienced attack.

Thank god he didn't take two more wickets in that testIt was Bumrah's fault we lost in SA?
7 wickets @ 34 in the two Tests we lost, and then 7/111 in the one Test we won.
eh, it was more the non-selection of Bhuvi than the selection of Bumrah. I don't think he bowled very well in the first two games but he wasn't the reason we lost. That falls squarely on the batting. It was Bumrah's fault we lost in SA?

I'm just happy he didn't take 14/88.Thank god he didn't take two more wickets in that test
He bowled pretty badly in the first two tests tbh. Not picking Rahane/Bhuvi and AB/Faf playing great knocks way biggr reasons for the loss though. It was Bumrah's fault we lost in SA?

Yes, the openers + Pujara + Rahane finally contributing was what made the difference in that game.Tbh, India as a team made a far bigger statement with their tactics than selection. They got caught out at Lords not punishing the bad balls, perhaps being a bit paranoid waiting for the good ones. Guys like Dhawan know exactly where England are going to bowl to him so rather than scoring ****-all waiting for the inevitable good one, you can apply some pressure back to the bowlers by making them worry a little about how many runs they’ll concede even when conditions are in their favour and you don’t personally cash-in. Pretty useful when your oppo has plenty of batting woes themselves.
Picking Bumrah over Yadav and a new ‘keeper were probably toss-ups that paid-off but the change in batting tactics was pretty noticeable. Yeah bowlers win matches but India’s last game was a decent example of how bats can contribute more without necessarily smashing 400+. And they did it basically a bowler short.
Hope you get to keep waitingI am happy that people are at least admitting that Umesh is a better bowler than Bumrah. This does seem to be obvious, so I am waiting for Bumrah to fail in the next test and Umesh to get the chance (that he so thoroughly deserves) in the fifth.
Plus the bowlers (at least those who were fit) continuing to contribute to the cause.Yes, the openers + Pujara + Rahane finally contributing was what made the difference in that game.
