Interesting evolution in Stokes’ bowling. Most of the time quicks lean over in their action when young and the effort is made to straighten them up at the crease but Stokes seems to have gone the other way, presumably in an effort to gain some swing. He looks more dangerous with the ball, especially getting some quite dangerous inward tang which makes his one one straightening down the line more dangerous. But I wonder whether he’s trading off the potential for injury.

Not sure what Pujara was playing at there. Surely if the batsman is convinced he shouldn’t be telling him to review?

In theory the non striker can have a solid opinion on these things, especially for LBWs since he has a good view of it.

Of all the guys to struggle, Rahul struggling in England has been the most surprising for me. He’s equipped enough to handle balls moving in or away but he’s been nailed by both all series. Makes me think it’s more mental than anything.

I haven't been that surprised in general because he does play away from his body a fair bit at times, but I've been surprised at some of the modes of dismissal (ie. bowled and lbw half the time).

Of all the players I think he could've benefited the most from some more practice games, as his Test technique is fundamentally different to his limited overs technique in a way that's not really true for the other players.

Why so? If anything he was always a dodgy prospect. He's never been a particularly good judge of what to play outside off.
As PEWS said, he’s struggled against the ball moving in too. In working on that stuff outside off, maybe he’s made himself more vulnerable to the in-ducker.

Should say, ‘least likely to struggle in England’ when it comes to this line-up ain’t a high bar...

Why is Pujara playing fluently? This is unsettling.
That checked drive suggested to me he still isn’t sure against the movement, though.

Bloke’s a class player so he’s probably never going to be properly bereft but it seems pretty clear he’s not comfortable.
