This adjustment that Manjrekar has been talking about is obviously simplistic but hasn't ever been made by Kohli. Generally speaking, playing square of the wicket and exploiting the third man region with the Dravid/Bell dab is not something Kohli ever looks to do with as much frequency as the cover drive. He's going to keep nicking off otherwise imo.

Come to think of it I can't remember him ever playing a square drive when I've watched him. I would have thought it to be a safer option given how he often drives it like a hockey player giving the puck a slap with his wrist movements.

He only ever plays it to squeeze away those yorkers in ODIs.

On the Vaughan/Rashid spat I think they are both right. Vaughan is correct saying it is ridiculous Rashid is picked when he has turned his back on the county championship and Rashid is also correct in saying that if you get asked to play for your country you can't turn them down. No winners here. Loved Rash saying nobody listens to Vaughan anyway. Top banter.

Haha but Vaughan wasn't criticizing Rashid. He was criticizing the selectors. That response from Rashid, while correct on its own terms, is neither here nor there.

I think they want days 4 and 5 on the weekend, so the fans can come in to see a result, although there is a good chances that the game is decided one way or the other by Friday
The implication of course being the English audience, particularly the pregnant, mothers and stupid people even know a cricket match can go for 4 or 5 days.

Karthik is dropping too many straightforward catches. This series is not going to turn out well.
