No sympathy for rsa here. Recently people were talking about a death of sl cricket. Nope they just ran into an outstanding India team and rsa away. Since then, they've demolished Pakistan in the UAE, shouldve won in the wi (but they were idiots) and are on the verge of crushing RSA. Well done!!

I wouldn't read that much into it. They're great at utilising home conditions against unfamiliar tourists. They've been ok though lately. Definitely could have been worse.
That's what happens when you play short series, need more matches, especially in a series, to establish a pattern - home or away.SL gets more ranking points here, more ranking points for NZ when they lose yet here again

I know Pak has played 6 tests there since NZ's last 2
But I'm not having a dig at Pak - their home tests in the past 3 seasons is more sad than SL or NZC

Apart from that Mathews, Chandimal are OK batsmen in these conditions.
Mendis did fine in West Indies.
DDS, Roshen Silva are pretty much hacks in these conditions, and have very little experience in overseas games.
All in all, I can say Wagner, Southee and Boult will be having time of their lives.
