Tells you the AB effect on the rest of the batters, also how no name/fame seeking "journalists" like Firdose - derided him for every time he failed to be the perfect son of SA - should get their heads examined.

I think most teams would struggle to beat the current SL over there, the way they are playing. For some reason, they seemed to be totally uninterested in competing when India toured last year. They played much better when they came to India.

Tbf they competed only in 1 game at Delhi, the familiar antics notwithstanding. They would've lost if not for the rains in the first test.

Yeah I agree they were saved by the light and some questionable Dickwella antics in the first match. Still it was a respectable result overall even if they'd lost 2-0 with one close match and a draw.

Pat Symcox was very very good. It was a pity he was 38 when SA had re admission. Would have been extremely threatening on dustbowls given his height the close to the wicket release.

I get that all teams struggle to win away and normally dominate at home,but the one aspect of our cricket that is SA fans took pride in is that we were the best travellers. It hurts to watch this, but it also shows how spoilt we got having the top 6/7 we did for a long time.

He would have lost a few as well where he intimidated umpires to giving close ones.

The ones subjected to pad play would have got lot more wickets.

As a Kiwi I'd love to see how we'd go. Latham and KDub (and Taylor) are pretty good players of spin
