*Official* Bangladesh in the West Indies 2018

Mominul needs to move down to four maybe to make room for Nazmul at no 3. Keep Tamim and Liton as opening pair for some matches. Slot Mosaddek in at middle lower with Mushfiq and Shakib. Drop Mullah (not sure why he keeps coming back at tests). About the pace department theres no hope. It does not matter who plays except wheh Fizz is fit. I dont think we are in a position of massive changes atm despite these **** results.

I think there's some hope for Jayed tbh. At the very least I think he make jag a couple of new ball wickets sometimes when it's swinging around, which would make him infinitely more usual than most of the quicks you've picked throughout your Test history even if he averages 40+.

Yeah he can swing it around but i'm skeptical of him maintaining his line

Try to schedule more away games, perhaps. Afghanistan, Ireland and Zimbabwe should have a lot of free slots.

There's the century by Brathwaite; well done! And Bishoo has now played more balls than any Bangladesh batsman.

Ah! The new ball. Hope this Rubel Hossain wont waste it by consistently bowling at the seventh stump.

Yeah I reckon he'll really cop some tap coming back for older-ball spells at home too, but in saying that he might not even need to bowl more than a new ball spell given how Bangladesh structure their attack at home.

I just think it's clear he could bowl an opening spell of jaffas and have an opposition batting lineup two or three down inside ten overs on his day. Ultimately he sprays it around bowling high 120s so it's not a new dawn, but there's so much more upside to him than any of the other quicks Bangladesh have debuted for years other than Fizz.

This BD team is so talented but so soft. They don't have the stomach for a fight, their self belief has grown over the years but you still see them freeze in tough situations and succumb to panic and the 'I'd rather be anywhere else' syndrome. They haven't yet learned how to gut it out, play ugly cricket, scrap and claw and fight for every inch. You push them they fall. They're still in their comfort zone when they're the underdog and have nothing to lose and their opponents are complacent. Put any weight of expectation on them, or put them agaisnt a side that's desperate to beat them, and they just concede.

So disappointing.
"so talented" LOL LOL. Only a Bangladesh fan would say that, wake up!

Lol ... "so talented" though wow.

West Indies and Sri Lanka have a lot more "talent", so the term he used must be in comparison to Ireland/Zimbabwe/Afghanistan levels of talent.

These are very bad guys, the West Indians.

With the position that they were in, there was no earthly reason to send in a night watchman. Other than to rub our fragile Bangladeshi noses in it.

43 a.o. and 200/2 is just horrid really. They were quite decent between mid-2015 to the Australian series last year, and genuinely competitive in Asia. Since the SA tour, they have regressed badly.
Tbh I suspect Bangladesh are actually a pretty good team at home. But just like pretty much every other team , they suck away. When was the last time England or Australia won away for example?? No need to worry too much about Bangladesh.

Afghanistan are probably more talented tbh. They played a stronger nation than WI in their den, had superior seamers who bowled far better on a less helping track and also scored twice as many runs in the first innings against a superior attack.

Weird comment because you seem to justify Afghanistan are more talented based on comparing one test. Afghanistan are more talented in bowling department no doubt but not based on the reasons you cited

I was joking

But you're right. Afghanistan definitely have a better bowling attack than Bangladesh without Fizz, maybe better spinners but they haven't been tested on test level yet. In terms of batting Bangladesh is certainly far more experienced and more reliable to not collapse against a quality attack.

Not the best time to choose to make that point

Rubel useless once more it seems. Checked the scorecard. Wicketless again. How'd he bowl? Hefty lead anyway. Innings defeat a possibility. Could Braithwaite outscore both BD innings like Hayden did against Pakistan?
