What an amazing game. This keeps happening right when I'm about to stop bothering with ODIs.

Stanlake was the biggest disappointment for me in this series. The rest of the bowlers I didn't really have expectations for.

Even yesterday he started off so well but came back completely gassed and bowling 83mph half trackers. If yesterday was the best he has to offer then it's not worth sticking through his crap days I feel. T20s should be where he shines until he gets better in this format.

Heh, gotta love those times when confidence is sky high and you just find a way to win no matter the circumstances.

Disappointed this series has ended now because I like my morning routine atm of get up, watch world cup highlights, see how much Australia lost by in the cricket before going to work.

Seems like a great game to end the series. Not often you get a match winning 100 in a 200 run chase. Special stuff. And England's bat deep strategy actually paying off lol.

He has no stamina because he's hardly bowled

The fact that he's not injured is just about the only positive to come out of this series

I'm not that really disappointed with them at all tbh. They've done pretty well for what they put on the park and getting a couple of relatively close games is a solid achievement.

Matches 1-2 & 5 were pretty much how most would've expected Australia to perform. But Match 3 was obviously a disaster and Match 4 was pretty dire as well.

Australia's batting to blame for that loss. Far too many brainless dismissals. I'd we had have batted out our overs we'd have won in a canter.
Fmd you can't have it both ways. Most of the series 300 hasn't been enough of course they're going to be pushing for more. How are they to know that England's top order would fold? If they batted out their overs for 280-290 and England chased it down easily then you'd be whinging just as much.

I'm so happy Miyagi isn't here
Hope he's ok. Guy hasn't gone 5 minutes without a post since he joined, now he's been MIA for days.

Maybe the Wifi at the psych hospital is playing up

It's called "assessing the pitch properly". Yes in the earlier games they should have accelerated sooner but in this game they did not assess the pitch correctly and see that pushing for 400 was going to end in disaster.

But I'm more annoyed because our guys got out stupidly. Two run outs and a leave on middle is asking for trouble. Lyons wicket showed that the pitch had a bit in it and 300 would probably be enough. Why didn't the Aussies look at the pitch and figure that out?

And even if they didn't an extra 30 runs would have given us the game. Getting all out after 35 overs is completely rubbish. And it's the batting side's fault.

England haven't been throwing their wickets away, they've been hitting through the line but they haven't been running themselves out or getting themselves out to dinky shots. They've gone hard at the ball against the quicks and milked the spinners. It's not rocket surgery.

Glad to see Stephen quoting the great Benny Elias.
Did he say it non-ironically?

I hated Elias. He was seriously the NSW player that I feared the most. I still remember a match winning intercept he made after running into our back line during our offensive play.

Bloody good player for a ****roach.
