Yet they still have Morgan as one of their 3 pivots with Root and Bairstow.I repeat.. England will win the World Cup. Too many batting weapons.
Morgan is hardly a class act.

Well if nothing else, England over the past couple of years has transformed their odi team into something that is exciting to watch and follow.Agreed - with Scotland not there as long as there isn't a bowl out we'll be fine
So you think the guy who scored 51 off 50 was more of a problem in a 128 chase than the guys who scored 3 (8), 10 (13) or 7 (8)? Smith played anchor all season and managed to be 4th on the list of run scorers. Struck at an acceptable 121 as well. Sure, that's not world on fire type stuff but averaging 40@120 is going to win more games than it loses.Ahhh - yes the IPL final, remind us how they went:
Pune restrict Mumbai to 129 off 20 overs.
Steve Smith scores a 51 off 50 balls.
And.. Pune lose by 1 run.

Sorry I have touched a nerve by suggesting that some Australian batsmen need to score faster, but Australia is #6 in ODI after this series, and it isn't because of the bowlers.
This England team could be the greatest ODI team of all-time. Statistically they already are. All that's missing is the big title. The comparisons with The Golden State Warriors are unmistakable.
You're hilarious.Smith isn't a good ODI batsmen.
He's a relic.You're hilarious.
Just like they were going to win the Champions Trophy last yearI repeat.. England will win the World Cup. Too many batting weapons.
This is great news: the last bastion of test cricket is just about to crumble. This England team could be the greatest ODI team of all-time. Statistically they already are. All that's missing is the big title.

You can call me the world's worst cricket fan but using your logic Twenty20 and the (upcoming) Hundred would be considered cricket also and I'd rather watch tiddlywinks than those two.I'm such a diehard cricket fan I am choosing to not watch the cricket to prove it
Oh Warner is brilliant in the IPL, magnificent in fact.So you think the guy who scored 51 off 50 was more of a problem in a 128 chase than the guys who scored 3 (8), 10 (13) or 7 (8)? But it is funny that you bring up that IPL, since the other guy that Australia is missing happens to have scored the most runs that year, by a long way and did so averaging 60@140.
A bit part of Australia's struggles in the recent summer was that Smith wasn't making the big scores in the anchor role that he normally plays, he was getting out cheaply which was putting too much pressure on the faster scorers down the order to play for their wickets.
Smith and Warner missing are massive negatives for Australia at the moment. A full strength ODI side looks way better with them in it.
This summer's post-ashes series they didn't score runs and that was the primary reason we lost the series so badly. They were worn down by the massive amount of runs they had already scored that summer.
