Well Willey's swing with the new ball isn't because he bowls swing better than Jimmy Anderson.the mystery of why old and not very good OD bowlers don't get picked has indeed troubled me
Well yeah, he doesn't bowl out, its not his job too (read my posts back) - but if you're just trying to troll me; look at his 1 - 41 (off 8 overs) and 35* in the first game where England won by 3 wickets.and i think david willey's 0 for 40 off 7 overs and 11 was probably the difference between the two teams yesterday

You can diss Willey as a cricket all you like, but England is now 6-1 vs Australia and Willey has played them all. So is Willey the difference between the two sides, or just indicative of it? Because I am not saying England is man for man better than Australia, but as a team, they have Australia beat right now. Smith, Warner, Finch, Starc, Cummins, Hazlewood, Stoinis notwithstanding.
So what is the solution for Australia?
Well of course. I don't try to make errors.hmmmmm
edit ah i see your weirdly wrong statement has been changed
Australia is going to be ranked 6th after this series, it probably is time to think outside the square before Australia slide much more.although picking someone who averages 46 to be the new ball bowler does appeal to me
Actual XI? Dunno. I don't care for Australian domestic cricket that much of late. These days I prefer the IPL to the BBL.Mr Miyagi, what's your solution btw? Like what is the actual XI you'd pick?
Pretty much, I'm here to diagnose the problems with Australian ODI cricket, not suggest solutions.Mr Miyagi: Your playing the wrong XI, you've got the wrong players, you need solutions, your ODI cricket is weak
Also Mr Miyagi: Lol idk what XI you should play I don't follow Australian cricket, you kid
Oh please, anyone who thought that this series was going to be competitive is delusional and barring injuries, Australia will field a radically different lineup in the WCWell yeah, he doesn't bowl out, its not his job too (read my posts back) - but if you're just trying to troll me; look at his 1 - 41 (off 8 overs) and 35* in the first game where England won by 3 wickets.
You can diss Willey as a cricketer all you like, noone thinks he is an ATG in the making, but England is now 6-1 vs Australia this year now and Willey has played in 3 of them. So is Willey the difference between the two sides, or just indicative of it? Because I am not saying England is man for man better than Australia, but as a team, they have Australia beat right now. Smith, Warner, Finch, Starc, Cummins, Hazlewood, Stoinis, Tye notwithstanding.
So what is the solution for Australia? Cos right now, despite excellent cricketers, England is embarrassing your team repeatedly, and its not just Buttler.
Interesting tactic to drop StoinisSomething close to full strength:
Warner
Short
TPC
Memeswell
Arun
MMarsh
Carey
Agar
Starc
Tye
Haze
Cummins there or thereabouts but not really sold on his LO bowling tbh.
And what about India in late 2017? What about in Australia in 2018?Oh please, anyone who thought that this series was going to be competitive is delusional and barring injuries, Australia will field a radically different lineup in the WC
The team has been devastated by injury/unavailability, we have a new coach with his own biases, the captain is a stopgap who doesn’t merit a place and the selectors are already experimenting with a flawed & unbalanced squad
It’s a perfect storm
Oh yeah forgot him.Interesting tactic to drop Stoinis
