Fully expected this but it's still so disappointing.
I was expecting more on par with Ireland/Pakistan. Afghanistan having some really good moments, making it a competitive game, but eventually getting edged out by superior skill and experience

This has just been brutal

I certainly didn't think the Afghan pacers would bowl the way they did. I thought Mujeeb/Rashid would be easy to deal with but didn't think they'd bowl poorly.

Batting effort was thoroughly predictable though.

Hmm. I expected India to get 350ish, Afghanistan 200ish in reply (still doablue I suppose), then India to rack up another quick 250 odd and Afghanistan to be bowled out for 200ish in the fourth didg

Mujeeb and Rashid definitely let things slide in the first two sessions, and I didn't expect India's bowling to look this potent right away. Could be looking at an innings loss here

The way things are going now, we might see a follow-on. Normally, I think the talk about following on starts way too early, but not now, I guess.

""porumayaa iru, porumayaa iru.varum, varum, varum"- DK advising Ashwin in tamim. Sounds good advice to Afghanistan too" --- It means stay patient, the reward will come
DK speaks Tamim?

When they're fielding, they can buoy each other up and not feel completely out of their depth. Batting is a far more psychological game however and they are being found out mercilessly.

Some classic finger spin bowling from Jaddu and Ashwin to wrap up the innings

Was kinda hoping they wouldn't enforce the follow on and would try to bat for a 700+ run lead or smth. Looks like Harsh wins the Rashid Khan sweepstakes :(

Lame, he didn't really put up figures. TJB was the closest.

Bowled out in 28 overs. Follow-on enforced, All over today? Can't see how Afghanistan will pick thngs up from here.

Poor guys. India at home is a mismatch for any team, let alone a team playing their first match. Quite expected. And, this shouldn't dent their confidence. Hopefully, they schedule their next test with one of Zim/BD/WI/SL/Ire in Dehradun so that it is more competitive.
