Thank you for your cutting and pasting efforts. I am well aware they are synonyms. Why would you use "acuteness" though, when it's artless compared with "acuity"? Am disappoint.

Because it isn't my goal to have people reaching for dictionaries just to discern the meaning of my posts. I'd rather use plain and ordinary words over the more flamboyant.

Of more interest, why did you correct a synonym with a synonym on their entirely shared meaning?
