Good stuff from Ireland, just 50 or 60 runs short of having a real chance. It's a shame they've got nothing else lined up in the next couple years.

Reckon Ireland at home would probably beat West Indies/Bangladesh/Sri Lanka/Zimbabwe. Definitely seem to be at a level significantly higher than 2000s Bangladesh.

I'd give them even odds v Zimbabwe but they're not favourites against the rest imo. Sri Lanka are world class minnow bashers. Bangladesh have a good batting lineup as well even if their pace bowling is ****ed.

Jammy swing bowling in cold conditions against a pretty solid batting line up? I reckon thats the kryptonite of all those teams. They'd all handily destroy Ireland anywhere else (even Zimbabwe IMO)

Ireland's batting is a big step below these guys though, even in home conditions.

SL just gave Pakistan a pounding in tests in the UAE.

But I think we can all agree, Ireland v sub continental sides and WI in Ireland will be interesting to see what happens.

I think Ireland has ZImbabwe beat easy, esp at home. But this Irish team has a lot of dated stock.
