Pressure of expectation has got to Hameed. Think he needs a bit of quiet. I don't think we will be seeing him for England for a little while. Needs to clear his head.

Notts have done enough without runs so far !

The batting isn't exciting or superior to others teams in the Div 1 but I think their experience and know-how of doing enough in testing conditions is enough for their bowling to win them games.

This is hilarious by yorkshire. win the toss and bat 22-5, 4 internationals already out. Somehow they have all these international batsman and they still went into the game with only 4 bowlers and no spinner - which does seem very defensive; although prescient.

Gale got away wiht last year but theres gonna be more pressure on him this year from the yorkshire fans/prress if this continues.

fat samit (who was looking fairly trim - or at least he ran back to his crease quickly to make sure it was Taylor ran out) manages to runout teammate Ross Taylor, who isn't exactly know for good running between the wickets either.

What the **** is going on at Chelmsford

Edit: Driving at swinging balls and generally **** shots is what's happening

Pitch inspection at Chelmsford surely?

Should be a points deduction too, 12 wickets and counting.
wicket isn't green. It's brownish. Doesn't look to be doing massive amounts - just enough for everyone to knick off.

More indicative of the general carefree approach to batting that T20 has seem to bring about imo.

aussie here, who is new to county cricket and has been enjoying the bbc coverage this season.

I have never seen such consistently low scores. Is this unusual for english conditions? Is this ball swinging all over the place, are the wicket's awful for batting , or can english players simply not bat (outside of odi's , 20/20's and other rubbish? )

It's all a conspiracy designed to get your selectors to pick Matt Renshaw

...... but seriously, there's doubtless an element of all of those factors involved

its easy to see why teams struggle in england, but england struggle away from home... especially on the flat wicket's we have in oz!
