TBF Williamson is one of the few cricketers in the game today who seems to have that Tendulkar-esque ability to identify an issue with his batting and then go and eliminate it. It'll be interesting to see if he continues to gun it in the IPL. He's always been a bit of an anchor in IPL, if he can diversify his game even more than it's pretty exciting. All the big names have been analysed to death; only the really good ones like Williamson and Bhuvi are coming through that unscathed.
he has been quite consistent this ipl I think. It was just once in a blue moon innings from Williamson against an average bowling attack so I wont get carried away by it
We badly need a solid lower order hitter to support Hardik. Will be happy if even one of the above can scale up.Loving how so many non international Indian batsmen are stepping up big time. Kishan, Samson, S. Yadav, Pant, Iyer etc.
He has scored as many runs as Virat Kohli, at about the same average and the same strike rate. So far, one of the very best batsmen in this IPLIt was just once in a blue moon innings from Williamson against an average bowling attack so I wont get carried away by it
Starting to look like Rashid was so effective in the BBL just because Australians are useless against any semi-decent spinRashid mystery has been solved now. Even Mujeeb looks nothing special against good batsmen. They are at the level of Dhananjaya at best.
The IPL is pretty unforgiving to players who can't evolve, adapt their game, as their weaknesses are being discovered. This applies to both batsmen and bowlers.Starting to look like Rashid was so effective in the BBL just because Australians are useless against any semi-decent spin
I genuinely believe Rashid Khan suffers from that depth-of-skill issue that I talked about earlier - all of his success so far seem to have stemmed by how freakish his bowling is. The pace and revs and the dipping googly. Once batsmen adjust to that, his mental game begins to get tested. We'll be finding out in the near future -especially with Afghanistan playing Tests- how far that aspect of his bowling had come along.Mujeeb's been fine. Rashid's had two bad games. Bit early to draw conclusions.
Kohli has hardly set this IPL on fire tbh.He has scored as many runs as Virat Kohli, at about the same average and the same strike rate. So far, one of the very best batsmen in this IPL
He apparently had a stiff back, chill.Bhuvi only got 3 overs. ****ing moronic captaincy from Williamson.
I thought he'd lost his mojo since his shoulder injury. Is it time to ask if Mustafizur has officially lost his mojo? 6 wickets @ 30 ER 8.97 so far.
You may have something there, Ish Sodhi took 6-11 in one of the few BBL games he played.Starting to look like Rashid was so effective in the BBL just because Australians are useless against any semi-decent spin
