- Matt winning was good. More momentum for him.
- Naomi winning? Sure, but the way she won was ****ing stupid. Wow, a face spent the majority of the match asleep outside the ring and then sneaked in at the end to win. Genius! They did this **** during the Rumble too, and it was bad then, it's bad now, and it'll be bad forever. Stop it.
- 205 match wasn't given the time to tell the story it was trying to tell. Just came across as tacky in the end, unfortunately. Decent work, though.
- IC match owned. Perfect opener.
- SD Women's was fantastic, but a) the finish came out of nowhere, and b) the post-match felt really unnecessary.
- US title match: I have watched wrestling for 20 years, so believe me when I say this was most definitely a match.
- Mixed tag went maybe five minutes too long, but it was good. Sad to see Angle like this. Rousey... did great, but I worry about how her future matches are going to be laid out, though this is probably not the time to be talking about that.
- SD Tag was short and sweet. Also, the New Day are really, really weird now, and not in a good way.
- Old school!!!
- DB IS BACK!!!! Please wait ten more minutes to see him wrestle.
- Five minutes into the Raw Women's match, and I was wondering why this was still going. And then they went five more minutes.
- AJ won, as I thought. Nakamura's Chronicle was absolutely amazing, but man is he just zzz in the ring. Maybe he won't be a racist foreign heel... Maybe?
- Nicholas baybay! The graphic after they won made me laugh uncontrollably for a couple of minutes straight, and I still don't really understand why.
- Amazing how absolutely no ****s were given about the main event. WWE might have just broken the record for biggest amount of ****s not given in one building. Also, cool idea to throw a curve ball in the one moment when most people really didn't want a curve ball.

So Okada, Tanahashi, and Suzuki were all at Mania, but Tanahashi was actually on the ground floor area when Strowman went looking for a tag partner. :laugh: Would've been so gun.

You could also him walk past No Way Jose. Do you think for an instant there, No Way Jose thought Strowman was going to pick him?

After sleeping on it, decent show, but its simply to long and a war of attrition the longer it seems to go. Not everyone needs to be on the show whatsoever.

The highlights were the IC match and the Mixed match. Nia, Harper and Rowen winning weren't exactly highlights but to short to be offensive. The Bryan match was messy as Shane is only good for falling of stuff, but so happy to see Bryan back so hard not to like the match. The battle royales were ok, ladies the highlight as Naomi was a surprising but deserved winner. Cena v Taker was what it needed to be, short and crowd pleasing.Ideally that should it for Taker, but I suspect Vince will lure him back next year with a wheelbarrow of money.

Asuka v Charlotte was fine until the ending, I know Charlotte is the most protected wrestler in the roster, but ****ing hell. they may as well have Asuka bow down and kiss her feet. Just silly to sacrifice her streak to the last person who needed it.

The US title match was meh, absurd that Rusev has not had a midcard title whether as a solo performer or as a tag team with English when you consider how good he has been and how over he is. The Bludgeon brothers in comparison? Get into the sea you hacks. :laugh:

Strowman segment was ok, can understand why people may have disliked but it was funny and its not as if they have protected the bar anyhow.

The main event was the pits, Lesnar has been a shitshow for a while now. He is so reliant on the opponent to carry him, as AJ proved at Summerslam. Just a dull boring ****er who I have yet to see proof what he brings to the company justifies his huge salary, he wrestling once a blue moon and doing **** all when he does. Give the belt to Roman ffs.

AJ v Shin wasn't great, Shin I want to do well, but he hasn't had many memorable matches since he has been on the main roster. Guys like Cena, Rusev, Orton, KO and AJ last night aren't exactly scrubs.

Strowman relinquishing the titles is probably one of the funniest things WWE has ever done.

"Nicholas has a scheduling conflict....

I mean, hes still in the fourth grade.

@Niall do you not think part of the reason they went with Charlotte is there is a need to put her over stronger now Rousey is in town? That’s where they are heading whether it’s next Mania or sooner, after all

As for Brock’s salary, given Vince’s love of money I am sure he has done his homework on it. The booking might not be to everyone’s taste but the name is still a bigger draw than most.

I don't have any problem with Charlotte beating Asuka but it was pretty annoying how they handled the post match. Asuka should have gone crazy at her streak being broken... just smiling and **** wtf. Should've beaten the crap out of Charlotte or atleast thrown a hissy fit.

Nah, would’ve made the Nakamura moment worse. Asuka being happy to be matched or to have something to improve for is a pretty solid story if they go for it.

It is WWE, so they will no doubt kook it.

Oh yeah forgot about nakamura. It might've felt odd if both the Japanese wrestlers went nuts on the same show I guess.

Still thought it was a bit dopey but whatever. Don't mind Charlotte at all.

And yeah, they were going for "Asuka took her loss graciously, but Nakamura was a **** about it," but... why should anyone even care about this. There were other losers on the show, why focus on th—well, I guess we all know why. I take this back, they were both Rumble winners, so I guess there is a plausible reason for the dichotomy.

Anyway, I still maintain they should've hugged and shook hands or w/e and just left after that.

EDIT: Samoa Joe is actually really, really good on the mic. It's amazing how big an asset he could be to the company if he ever sustains some momentum without getting injured.

Don't think it's because they're Japanese at all. Two championship matches on the main card between two faces is pretty rare TBH. They're also on separate shows, so whats the angle?

DDT main event tonight between Takeshita and Higuchi was fantastic. Irie with the staredown afterwards as well. Good show.

Gonna watch RAW now, seemed like a decent show from what I've read. I kinda didn't expect Lashley to debut until after Backlash but I don't know why I thought that, maybe because he's still been on Impact. WWE didn't have EC3 in the ring until he was "fired" from Impact. Good to have Joe back, boy I hope he gets an actual title run this year.

The Asuka thing was perfectly fine IMO. I think she's an entirely different character to others who've had extended streaks. Compared to being a superhuman monster who gets off on being #alpha, she just happens to be a ****load better at pro wrestling than anyone else. I can see Asuka being happy about the streak being broken, because now she has genuine competition -- someone who raised themselves to her level of good-at-pro-wrestling -- and she can truly test herself rather than racking up win after win in third gear.

I think I know why Reigns lost. Maybe they are playing the long game where if he loses all the time at the main event of Wrestlemania, they will eventually pity-cheer when he wins one after 10 years?
