Do they have the Barmy Army miked up? They’re louder then the commentators! Not that drowning out Doull and Richardson is a bad thing.

Would Williamson bowl his spinners in this situation or would he just op to walk of and lose two hours of play?

Real bonus for NZ coming off. Cumming makes a good point, why only 30 mins difference in the start time adjust for daylight savings?

Obviously depends. If he was 1-0 in the series & the opposition were ahead of the game, then walk...

Dunno. Maybe morning dew. although that still doesn't add up actually.

They were starting at that time literally 2 days ago, I doubt it's about dew. All I can think is maybe there's some regulation somewhere saying that the earliest possible start time for a test is 10:30. Otherwise this is daft.

Imagine if the first game had been drawn because of the weather/if Wagner didn't go super saiyan and then NZ proceeded to draw this because of bad light.

Get a climate NZ.

Not bad from Jimmy;

@JimmyNeesh

Doing a concussion test on @NeilWagner13 would throw out some interesting stuff:

"How many overs can the average man bowl in a spell?" "23"

"How many bouncers can you bowl in an over?" "9"

"Ok he's cooked get the replacement ready."

No.

From cricinfo...

5.10pm: Play abandoned for the day and, contrary to what Marais Erasmus suggested, there won't be an early start tomorrow, because of fears about dew. So we'll probably be lucky to get 75 overs in, if conditions are anything like today... New Zealand, you're lucky you're so beautiful/polite/hospitable, or this might cause an incident

No early start to make up for the the play lost tonight due to worries about dew. So weird. There's no way they'll get the full 98 tomorrow unless Root and Leach both bowl 20+ overs.

Anyway, you'd say the draw is ever so slightly the favourite at this point given the shine has worn off the ball and Anderson and Broad were starting to look quite tired by the end.

What's happened in the space of three days that makes dew such a factor if we start half an hour earlier? This makes no sense whatsoever.

Wonder if NZ will have a dash at it if they find themselves around 210/3 after two sessions.

Either way, we should be in for a nail-biting third session tomorrow, either NZ going for the chase, or trying to hang on for the draw. The rain break definitely worked in NZ's favour.. all they have to do now is see off the morning burst without too much damage, wait for the bowlers to tire, and capitalize.

Probably not given that the 2nd new ball will be due around tea, and NZ are already 1-0 up anyway. The only way we win this is if CdG gets in and biffs it around for a couple hours.

If Williamson and Taylor are batting together at 200/3, they can score at 4-5 an over without taking too many risks. All I'm saying is, NZ just need to focus on keeping wickets in the first session, after that, chances to chase the total will automatically open up.
