***Official*** England in New Zealand 2018

The Hutt Rec

International Vice-Captain
Well these are just about the best conditions they could hope for to chase 380. I think NZ are good enough to give it a decent shot.

Please don't let it be a repeat of NZ's first innings where Raval tentatively prods at Jimmy's first 4 deliveries outside off-stump, only to be beaten & send nerves through the NZ batting order.

I've been a defender of Raval's, but strewth he looked like he had no idea at all 1st innings.

Need 5 minimum by end of day else we have no chance.
Even if NZ are 1-2 down at stumps there is still a reasonable chance for England. Another 1-2 wickets in 1st session day 5, then Broad and Anderson get the 2nd new ball early in the afternoon session and nick out the last couple of specialist batters, then 40 overs to winkle out the long tail.

Er what? You’ll have a solid chance if NZ are 0 down at the end of the day. You’ll be heavy favourites if NZ are any more than 2 down imo. **** this place is lousy for gambhiring of late.

Haha, Gambhiriing at its very finest there :D

2 wickets would be more than enough at the close to see England heading into the last as strong favourites. There's no weather around.

**** I almost want NZ to get bowled out for 350 here, just so that the media and public will haul KW over the coals for his terrible reviews.

Love the blokes who've been calling it game over since we were about 150 ahead complaining about Gamhiring

Southee's still the worst offender on this, followed by Watling, & then KW himself.

I most certainly haven’t been saying it was game over yesterday. I actually called Flem out for being overly pessimistic at that point.
