I'm glad Sky is making an effort to get a woman on the commentary team, but surely they can do better than Debbie Hockley? She is awful.

I wonder what Emily Drumm is doing now. Remember her having some interesting insights in interviews during her playing career.

His figures are meh but Wood has actually done ok here. Better than i've seen him bowl for most of his test career.

There are two things women don't understand

Death, and cricket

I know a lot of you guys think Colin having a bad run and getting dropped is somewhat of a inevitability, but if he manages to get a ton here he'll quite rightly buy himself a very long rope.

he's the most talented allrounder in the country with by far the best technique, and i'm including the two young hypes anderson and neesham in that.

he's also by far the dumbest. i thoroughly expect him to hole out to leach soon.

Yeah and based on the prayers I’ve made to various deities I’ll be giving up some pretty fun things.

Leach has looked very solid so far. Just bowling to a plan and keeping it tight, which our spinners over the last 5+ years haven't been able to.

Leach looks pretty useful. Hope he gets a few more opportunities.
Their other tours in the next year are to Sri Lanka and the West Indies for three Tests each, so even if he doesn't end up first choice spinner for their home summer he'll almost definitely be playing a few more Tests there IMO.

Thought you were a kiwi for a second and was about to have a rant about how this is exactly what Santner does. Carry on.

Sounds like a good innings from De Granghomme so far. He and Watling complement each other nicely. Southee in next though .

In these conditions I really feel like even 3 down in the first session would have put us in a reasonable position to make hay for the rest of the day. Four is too many though, plus Williamson getting out this session. If we had one more batsman in the hut plus a useful number 8 I would still be confident of making close to 300 here.

Yeah if we had Santner in next I’d expect us to get near 250.now I’d be happy with 200
