Yes, but killing him off, politically and otherwise, didn't fix this problem. We're stuck with it - and it's a damn nuisance.Yet another reason to be glad Nixon is dead

Turning around today - sympathy for Smith, CA in the gun sightsIt's open season for piling in on the Aussies at the moment. All the journos are lining up to stick the boot in.
While some of the cricketing community forgave Hansie.... much of the public though will never forgive Hansie for what happened. I actually remember hearing the words `good riddance` after his plane crash.I know I'm a bit late on this, and it's almost certainly been mentioned at the time, but the crowd's behaviour as Smith left the airport was ****ing atrocious. I can only assume they laughed when they found out Hansie's plane had hit a mountain, and then heckled his family and yelled out 'cheat' at his funeral. I mean...we wouldn't want to be hypocrites after all.
Yea as much as I felt a huge deal for Smith..I knew as soon as that question was asked that he would say it was the only time and that it would be a lie. (Well I say knew but it's hard to imagine it being a true answer.)nope
That's true, but how often can we say when we **** up that we have the world's microscope upon it, and that we'll have fellas on the streets hurling abuse at us for the rest of our miserable meaningless lives?I cannot believe how gullible people are over these press conferences, or ''pressers'' as they seem to be called now. They are crying because they got caught. Lehmann did not show much sympathy when he instructed the public to pelt Broad with abuse, yet now he is crying like a little girl.
Still waiting for Faf & others to show some remorse but not holding my breathI cannot believe how gullible people are over these press conferences, or ''pressers'' as they seem to be called now. Show remorse for what?Still waiting for Faf & others to show some remorse but not holding my breath
One rule for you, another for usShow remorse for what?
No, Bancroft and Smith got sanctioned by the ICC exactly as Faf got sanctioned. The fact that the Australian public and CA went off the deep end has nothing to do with anybody else in world cricket. And I say this again, this stopped being about a ball tampering incident a long time ago.One rule for you, another for us
Hypocrisy at its finest
