Can we go back to everyone beating up on Mark Wood a couple of hours back and me totally sticking up for him? Just to clarify I wan't talking about his batting but was totally 100% sure he was about to wait for a batting collapse and then somehow turn into Kumar Sangakarrar

Game is drifting too much. At one point <200AO was on and now they're on track for 300...even 350 if they get lucky.

And hit the stump with no bail falling

Sometimes Kane is over-conservative, in the same way as BMac was sometimes over-funky. Seamers have taken the wickets today, but #9 is 36 (45), and no sign of the leggie (who has a good googly).
Sometimes? Williamson is very conservative, it has always been his style. You can pencil de Grandhomme and Santner in for 50 tests with him in charge. His type of cricketers.

remember when sodhi was the greatest and tastle was terrible and no one remembered who sodhi got to bowl to?
Yes.
Although in some context the ND captain probably also demonstrated some faith in him rather than spending 5 hours draining his confidence before throwing him the ball.

this is terrible cricket from NZ. If NZ lose you can put the microscope directly on allowing the tail to score 50 odd runs and counting.

Boundary leaking has got have KW worried now. Though you could argue England have now *ahem* earned the right. This happened a lot against South Africa last year IIRC.

Haha yeah but the exact same thing happened to Astle in the first Test, and when he finally came on and bowled an over of pies the thread was full of people sticking the boot in.

This is awful... they could have shut up shop for 10 overs until the new ball, instead they've coughed up 60 runs...

Look legspinners get hit of course, but he's having to bowl against a well settled batsman rather than someone still newish to the crease, which is when Kane should have brought him on.
