All time world ODI XI game

I really feel as though this is a perfect team for Jonty to join. The team needs a star fielder desperately and obviously his one day batting was of high value and would add variety to Afridi and Cairns if he gets selected.

You have sold him to me. Changing my vote from Cronje to Jonty.

Weird, just looked up the records and I seem to recall Vaas being much better than what those numbers suggest

Now that we have moved to the ATVG category should we employ a floor of minimum 30 ODIs? I really don't want to see someone like Sobers in the 13th team or something.

It's funny because I don't rate Vaas at all. Probably because memory is biased towards what we've seen. I'd much rather take Johnson over Vaas but alas, I got busy and didn't vote.

Interesting how low Ganguly finished. He was a legitimate great of limited over cricket around 2002 or so (fastest to 7K, 8K, 9K etc. IIRC). Went downhill badly after that and spoiled his legacy.

Also, Cairns above Afridi please.
Afridi was selected as an all-rounder, and Cairns as a bowler - that's why I kept Afridi ahead. Also, don't judge Afridi's batting by the last few years of his career. Both were equally inconsistent with the bat. I think for some reason people remember Cairns' 4 ODI centuries more than Afridi's 6 centuries and better strike rate. Sometimes Afridi is underrated by true cricket lovers only because how overrated he's with average Pakistanis.

But I'd like to know if some other CWers also want Afridi at 8 - happy to change if that's the majority opinion.
