***Official*** India in South Africa 2017/18

Why? Most Indians appreciate such a wicket. Most Indians love wickets which help the pace bowlers. It's a shame that the other pitches weren't as exciting as this pitch. I think the South Africans have prepared a brilliant pitch, and this is a common view among the Indians. Most criticisms are emanating from the English and Australians.
Not really! The guy who is most aghast at this wicket is Michael Holding, a West Indian - he would have called the match off immediately.

Nothing like a good old controversy to put a thread down the ****ter
Yes, it’s gone to ****.

How can the South African players get the game called off and why would CSA want that? They apparently sold over 10,000 tickets for today (more than the previous three days combined) and the Wanderers which fills to capacity for ODIs and 20/20s wouldn’t be able to host international games for a year. If they were intent on milking it why didn’t Elgar go down when he got hit in the face?
2-0, 2-1, 3-0, doesn’t really matter, South Africa won the series.

I wouldn't call it off. It has been enjoyable and resembles the minefields you read about in history books. My main point was that I do not see how suspending play yesterday served any purpose, and that the suspension came at an imprompt time, after the Indian tail end had been subjected to the ball pinging off everywhere but during the South African opening three; it give off the impression that the Indians had been stitched-up, even if that was not so.

Back to the cricket, Markram is going to find it tough against the Australians. Loves a nothing shot outside off stump and you would think Hazlewood would be all over him.

He needs to sort that issue . Needs to leave those deliveries.
He will be working on it.

Why is the start delayed lol. What's going to change in the next 30 mins? What's the difference between inspecting before the match was scheduled to start and 30 mins later? How do you even inspect a pitch in situations like this?

edit: ah, overnight rain. nvm.

Looks like the tactic is to bowl short for absolutely no reason. Bashing the seam in and ensuring Bhuvi can't swing the ball. Good stuff bois.

Maybe they should try putting it in the batsman’s half and it’ll actually come into play.
