*Official* Australia v England post-Ashes ODI series

So I didn't see a single ball of yesterday's game. Was it an incredible spell of bowling from Haze and Cummins to have us 5/8 or one of those days where it just didn't come off for England?

he's getting overhyped because of a couple of innings. This is still someone who averages 32 in List A and that average is consistent with his time with Victoria both at the top of the order and in the middle, it can't be put down to his time with WA at the start of his career. Indeed, he's averaging 33 for this series. When I say batsman, that can easily be Maxwell. We don't need Stonis bowling unless Marsh isn't playing

I can't see how Maxwell doesn't get in this side and Stoinis does. Maxwell has done something wrong and it is nothing to do with what he does on the field. Australia would be a much bigger threat with Maxwell in the team.

You're aware of his recent odi record right?

He had a better case for being in the test xi.

The bowling was very good, but not 5/8 good.
There was a little tiny bit in the wicket for the fast bowlers and all these LOI specialists crapped their pants. Australia almost choked chasing too.

Nah, he should be there. He’s done it on the biggest stage, and more importantly he’s precisely the type of player the team needs to keep up with how the format has changed.

Really interested to see how this new wicket plays in Perth.....I know it's a ODI so it will more than likely be flat but I'd hope they have done everything they can to ensure there is some pace and bounce in it. Has there been any speculation around it yet?

And yeah Maxwell should most definitely be in this side.........Cameron ****ing White getting a gig before him has to be the biggest selection LOL this century.

The pitch is a bit weird looking. Doesn't look like much in it though. The straight boundary looks absolutely tiny.

Why are we persisting with Zampa instead of giving Lyon a run?

Glad to see we've finally picked Maxwell, but what's the bet he gets dropped as soon as Finch is fit. Really, our top order is full and doesn't have space for Finch, Warner, Smith and Head. I know he played a fine innings in the last match, but IMO Head is our weakest link right now. Stoinis, Marsh and Maxwell should fill out the 4-6 spots with a better batting keeper at 7.

Thought Tye looked ordinary in his first couple of ODIs but he’s been impressive with some smarts and changes of pace which are essential in the middle overs.

Bairstow has been a bit overrated this tour imo; looked good with the bat throughout but regularly gets out for moderate contributions.

Ali shouldn't play in Australia ever again, though he's been good with the ball in the ODIs
