****ing hell imagine Anderson on this wicket. I've never seen Ishant swing a cricket ball before let so him bending it around corners is pretty ridiculous viewing.

btw when batsmen stand out of the crease to combat swing imo the bowlers should just bowl from about a foot or so behind their crease as well.

My stream is down so can't see.... is the movement off the pitch, or through the air and is it overcast at the moment?

What creates a poor pitch is inconsistent bounce more than anything else. Technique against a spinning ball, with a lower bounce pitch is different to a pitch with some lateral movement with a bit of extra bounce. Batsmen can deal with both with good technique provided that the bounce remains consistent.

A pitch where you can with a fight get to 250-350 is a good pitch imo.
A pitch that makes an average bowler look unplayable is "not good". Whether its variable bounce or too much side movement, ultimately, it's not fair to the batsmen. Can you see how much swing Ishant is able to extract? Its not something we see him doing these days.

Swing has nothing to do with the pitch...

Hopefully we just keep bowling these two until their arms drop off. Have a feeling Shami will spray it around and Bumrah will bowl short and bash the seam in.

I think Bhuvi can generate the same amount of swing if not more than Anderson.

I'll only start blaming the pitch if the ball keeps doing this into the 40th over.

I think it gets much easier to bat once the ball loses it's shine.

Ishant better take a wicket btw. He's never going to get better conditions. We don't need a spell of 10-6-15-0 here, we need breakthroughs.

Everytime Bhuvi does well, my mind just goes back to wondering how he was dropped in the previous match. The biggest selection blunder after the RP Singh in England selection I would say.

Rabada has played well but pretty poor the bowlers couldn't land one in the right spot to him all day so far. Either he can let it go, or it's on his pads.

Shami's one of those guys who will always be a liability in a low scoring game because of how long it takes him to find his rhythm.
