You all would be uncontrollably masturbating all over the place if Pujara or Rahane had played this innings instead of rohit. He's looked genuinely good.

He's going to have a brainfart soon but that's a separate issue.

Nice for Ngidi to get wickets... some soft wickets, but he has bowled well overall and rushed some of the Indian batsmen. Lots to work with for the future.

I’d say anyone who doesn’t fall pregnant to your team mate would be a massive upgrade.

God, how can they be in the same dressing room? Would be tense af
They are not on talking terms but thanks to Indian selectors they have selected him in an already waning team

Surely Pujara has a lot more credit in the bank than Sharma? Even Rahane, as over rated as he is, would too

Oh please. If selections had been sensible and batting too, India could have won either of the tests. Both games were fairly competitive. So this team is far far away from the embarrassment Sri Lanka is overseas.

Having said that, this team is clearly inferior to previous India teams.
I'm not sure any change in selections would have resulted in India claiming either Test, but that is purely speculatory. I just can't see them overcoming SA even despite conditions being more favourable than maybe they thought they would have encountered.

They have been competitive for long parts of each Test, but SA have always just been good enough whenever they've needed to be, and this bowling attack I don't think could have been controlled or dominated by India regardless of who had been selected.

If the batting had been more sensible they may have pushed them further, but there are of course technical reasons aswell as to why this hasn't been the case.

This Indian team was over-hyped from the start.Rahane shouldn't have been dropped at all.
Hopefully some sense is injected to the Indian team and Ravi Shastri as a result of this loss.

The current lineup is clearly inferior.
If you had to make a combined lineup, it would be like-

Vijay
Sehwag
Dravid
Tendulkar
Kohli
Laxman
Dhoni
Kumble/ Harbhajan
Zaheer
Bhuvi
Sreesanth/ Ishant

So no more than 3 players from current (newer generation) would make it to the former XI (especially for overseas).
Kohli, Vijay & Bhuvi.
