The criticism still would've been relevant if he'd taken 7 wickets though.Look, if you drop catches off a bowler, you can't slag him off because he 'failed to build pressure'. Blame the ****ing fielders imo.

If the only way Ashwin can find to bowl dot balls and build pressure is to get batsmen out first, that entirely backs up what ***** was saying.Aren't they a bit related since a wicket would get a new batsman in instead of a set one who can pick off singles?
Eh, he was drawing false shots after building pressure. If the catch was taken he'd have had a new batsman to bowl to who'd be less confident of picking singles away.If the only way Ashwin can find to bowl dot balls and build pressure is to get batsmen out first, that entirely backs up what ***** was saying.
again, dropped catches doesn't excuse being inable to string dots together. It'll affect his average sure, but it doesn't mean he is now suddenly not allowed by the rules to bowl to a field. If he falls apart and can't emotionally bring himself to bowling a proper line and length after one dropped catch then he is too fragile to be playing Test cricket and must be dropped.Didn't Pandya drop Elgar early in this innings off Ash?
I'm thinking that might have been a little premature yeahRemember when De Kock was going to be better than Gilchrist?
Must have been terrible if it’s in the argument with Haddin’s in the 46 ao knock.Worst innings of all-time? That was ****ing awful.
