Might be worth going round the wicket to Mitch by Crane if he can land them. Should open him up.

They want to make sure England totally bake tomorrow morning when it’s going to be 42 degrees. Good on them too.

English love the sun. We dont force our children to wear sunscreen and massive hats.

The sun is our ally.

I will be watching with the Burge family from the Allianz Stadium members’ swimming pool for a time before repairing to the change rooms to dress appropriately for the Members’ Stand to watch the denouement, which I think will be tomorrow.

Apparently if this goes to day five it’ll be the first Ashes series in donkey’s years that all five tests have gone the duration.

Why are the pitches in Australia getting so flat?? Smith can do well in any given condition, would have been great to see some of the others getting tested.

Wildly unfair to call this pitch "so flat". Crane easily could have had a bag here.

Will be fun tomorrow to watch Lyon bowl in the 2nd/3rd sessions on this track, after Starc does his thing.

This young bloke Crane looks the business. You just know that when the Ashes next roll around in the UK he’ll have been discarded for an innocuous, dart throwing finger spinner.

Root's throwing away his wicket and not reaching 400 looking even more important now. Facing Lyon at this stage is going to be interesting, and they're going to have to make up a lot of ground. I think we're a somewhat decent chance of an innings victory, or by 8-10 wickets at most. Depends if England can actually apply themselves.

Edit: that is contingent on these two and Paine going on of course.
