Well well.
Do you not lose your review if it's a no ball?I get why that's been called but IMO that wasn't actually a no ball.
Saved them a review, though
EDIT: Hahahaha
No I mean that at the point of impact between the frame, there would have been a bit behind, and then slid forward. Obviously you have to give the no ball on that replay though. That has got to be the best thing to happen in cricket, when a team reviews for a wicket and get caught out for a no-ball
it clearly was a no-ball. Had nothing behind the line
Nope. Happened to India as well (though in that case it wasn't out)Do you not lose your review if it's a no ball?
I see what you're saying but that's not how I saw it. The first frame that showed him on the line with nothing behind it (just) he was only just landing or about to land, then the next frame he slid forward further over the line.No I mean that at the point of impact between the frame, there would have been a bit behind, and then slid forward. There was a frame before that with the foot in the air before landing.....next frame had landed. Correct call made but if there was an in between frame it could well have showed some foot behind the line (may not have too of course)I see what you're saying but that's not how I saw it. Hard to be certain though of course
Yeah, this is my suspicion. There was a frame before that with the foot in the air before landing.....next frame had landed. Correct call made but if there was an in between frame it could well have showed some foot behind the line (may not have too of course)
30+ I would imagine. Even that is probably a low estimate.Anyway I'm very surprised it was actually hitting the stumps
and again brings into question how many no-balls are being bowled during the day not being called (bigger ones than that one of course)
Yeah I'd expect more, presumably from the quicks30+ I would imagine. Even that is probably a low estimate.
Second time this match though, wasnt Root considered to fail when he got out?.rare indeed when 83 is considered a failure...
Yeah it's super weird that the main broadcast is in 50fps but the cameras they use for line decisions only record in what I think might be 20 (or possibly 15, if you know more than I do?).Yeah, this is my suspicion.
I kind of say this because it struck me last night watching the SA-India match how much clearer it is when they use the high-speed camera on these calls rather than this 15fps stuff
I was being hyperbolic with the 15fps stuff, I would hope it's a bit faster than thus. Probably 24.Yeah it's super weird that the main broadcast is in 50fps but the cameras they use for line decisions only record in what I think might be 20 (or possibly 15, if you know more than I do?).
