You mean give them a greater chance of drawing?

It's 20.3 out there, won't be that much sweating.
They are only 180 in front which means they don't have enough yet to win. Scoreboard pressure is what will get wickets here and that's what the Aussies are putting on right now.

They will be sweating over what the cracks are doing. keep em out there to **** with them.

Certainly no need to panic here and declare too early, just keep batting and increasing the lead.

Rain or no rain they still have to have enough runs on the board to win. Besides its Perth and you wont lose much time to rain. If they did declare now then they would have to bat again so it makes no difference.

That crack is in almost the worst possible spot for a RH batsman. If it were a yard fuller then yikes.

They need to bat on. Get the lead to 250, then take a call depending on weather.

I'm with TNT here. Declaring now just makes no sense unless you literally think you're going to lose a whole day to rain.

- You need to bowl them out
- there's still 5 sessions left
- Declaring now means you think you need 5 sessions to bowl them out
- If they survive 5 sessions they're going to make a lot more than 200-250 and you'll have to bat again anyway

Add in that the longer you keep England out there the more tired the batsmen get. It would just be dumb.
