Oh hey it’s Neil Wagner time let’s undo all the pressure NZ’s best two bowlers have created. Best NZ test bowler since Haylee according to some though

Lol your timing is impeccable innit? You're nowhere to be seen when he's ripping through sides like no other 1st/2nd change bowler in the world in the last 3 years, yet ready to pounce as soon as he bowls a wicket-less expensive spell.

i think the windies are, probably unintentionally, the only team to get how to bat against wagner - he'll happily bowl 15 overs of bouncers in a row that are risky to score off so you just keep swinging and hope its not his day and he gets hit out of the attack
Does seem surprising others don’t try it more - he’s not Johnson pace so I imagine it would be easier to control aggressive shots off his bowling than it is for a 140kmh guy trying the same thing.

it's not the pace, it's the persistence and the direction. Neil Wagner can quite literally bowl an 8 over spell of bouncers if he feels like it, and most of the time they're proper bouncers not floaty ones. Mixed in with some yorkers and short mid off drive bait (which he's forgetting today) and it's really tricky as a batsman to execute controlled aggression for 8 overs straight to balls requiring good control.

Seddon Park and Eden Park are a bit easier to attack bouncers on as well because of their size.

Today he's obviously bowling poorly.

Weather saving us there, Wagner was bowling the West Indies right back into this game
You mean the man of the match from the previous Test who was the biggest factor for NZ being 1-0 up leading into this 2nd Test?

Lol yeah you're right. My biased agenda is a little too obvious & well established at this point. Who am I trying to fool...
Wagner probably receives the least amount of criticism on CW, in most eyes here he’s always on which is far from the case (as we’ve recently seen). You might not like what I’m saying but you need to hear it.

Lord Colin does it again. If Latham hadn't dropped that sitter off Brathwaite this would be shaping up as another towelling.

Horrible push from Chase.

Good work by De Grandhomme to bowl a whole lot of rubbish before that to lull him into a false sense of security.

Brathwaite going to be annoyed that noone is sticking with him.
