can someone pls use statsguru or Ric Finlay and find out how many times flames have engulfed Haze’s bowling speed on the ch9 coverage? cause i swear he broke new ground hitting 146km/h last over

I don’t agree with that but I think he belongs in the argument for second. Had a level he went to which very few players ever could. He was so good to watch.

No sportsman from the 30s/40s/50s is the best ever at their respective sport given the increase in athleticism over the years. It's like saying Puskas is the best footballer ever or Jesse Owens is the greatest runner or even Laver the greatest tennis player (LOL).

But anyway... this discussion can probably be in another thread.

He did last night too allegedly. I want to believe it.

and went to that level more often than the few others who could also go to those heights.

I think he became a better bowler once he started bowling around the wicket to right handers a lot more and was able to bottle them up.

brings his turn down the line and attacking the stumps or inside edge rather than onto the hip and turned for runs. Seems to encourage him to pitch it up a bit further too.

And I'm not trying to denigrate Kohli at all. It's just sad to me that he keeps breaking records mostly due to weak opposition and the schedule giving him so many home tests (20 in the last 3 years).

Pointless criticism, England has had 21 home games in the last 3, Australia 16 but they will play 3 more by the end of the year. SL has played 17. SL last toured India in 2009, windies in 2013.
