I mean Thisara is neither here nor there player.Whar has he done apart from winning us 5-6 games from the 100 odd matches he played.No doubt he's talented,but he never wanted to improve his batting.His off side batting for example is still the same.And his bowling has subsided with time.Doubtful if he can bowl 10 overs and balance the team.Out of nowhere there's pressure on him.
Plus SL have announced that they will pick captains on a tour by tour basis.So fingers crossed.

by the way for me, if anyone should get ODI captaincy, it should be Dickwella then we would see some backbone being put back into the team. I would agree with NLTCP staying as T20 captain but good luck to the lad and I hope that he does a good job..

I've got no problems with Mathews or Chandimal being captain, but if you're giving it to anyone else, it had better be someone you earmark who has the potential to do the job in the long run. Deciding this on a tour-by-tour basis is simply a ridiculous way of punishing the players who didn't want to travel to Pakistan.

I think right now the only player assured of his spot in the ODI team is Dickwella. He should have got the gig and I think he will as there is a merry-go-round policy put in place.
