***Official*** 1st Test at Brisbane

this could end up being a disaster.

Cook basically on a farewell tour where he won't reach 30 in an innings but we dont have an opener to replace him. Maybe we should call up Renshaw?

Stoneman, Malan and Vince are iffy test players at best... and you need strength in all areas to win out there.

Gay rights champion, social warrior and Commonwealth man of the year... Ben Stokes is currently not allowed to play due to pressure from homophobes and enablers.

Woakes and Ball are just rubbish bowlers, lets be honest here.

And now it appears an Australian plot to destabilise the tour even further has caused Jonny Bairstow to chin one of the girls who opens for Australia.

This isn't going well.

This is all coupled with Steve Smith harming the aesthetics of cricket.

Sad times we live in.

I mean if it does turn out to be somewhat serious, the ECB should ban him for 1 test effective tomorrow. They're going to lose anyways so if they do this he'll be available for the next game. Get Ball to keep wickets because he clearly can't be trusted to bowl.

He'd barely get the gloves up in time to bat the ball away from his own scone.

Not the scorecard I was hoping to see this morning, but not a huge surprise. We’ve been in this game and scrapping to stay in it for virtually four days, seems the last session it all got away from us and a tight Test is going to look like a thorough hammering, which concerns me as to how England are going to react to this.

The best thing is the next Test is at Adelaide under lights, our bowlers should become more effective and threatening under lights and we do have a decent chance of hitting back there but there are some obvious issues for the rest of the series. A Stokes return would be massive and possibly the only thing that can keep us competitive.
