This is one of Smith’s most impressive innings. Mentally incredible, and if Aus get a lead they will have huge momentum.

Was going to wait for three figs to say it, but I can't think of a better TPC knock. Maybe some equals, but this is top shelf batting from behind. Has given not a sniff. Has let Root try his funky fields and leg theory. Has simply decided he will be not out this innings and we'll see how many we can get and not give a flying about how long it takes. Easy to say, but the application is next level.

As far as batsmanship goes his hundred in Dharamsala is a cut above though. Like OS said before, that was a really difficult pitch for everyone else and he looked completely dominant on it.
