Yeah I don't usually complain about the three day gap since it usually has to happen one side of the midweek game, but they've made a policy of not making CL clubs play Sunday any more in order to give them a better chance so it's pretty laughable to then make us play Monday night before an away game. Makes it three games in six days as well instead of seven.

When I made the original post about Monday/Thursday I wasn't really questioning the schedule. I just wondered if Arsenal had ever won a match on a Monday and a Thursday at any point in their history. :tabletalk
The only problem most fans have with Thursday is that they think the competition is beneath them.

I can't think of any reason we would've. It's also the case that our first seven home games this season will have been played on seven different days of the week. Don't imagine that's happened to many clubs before.

For a guy that seems so easy to get along with, Ancelotti sure does get his fair share of sackings.

I suspect the fact English clubs tend to play their fifth string in the competition means they don't feel obliged to apply the same logic

BARNES OUT
Great week for us, Mendy likely done for the season after blowing up his knee (no backup LB) and Aguero out for 6-8 weeks with a fractured rib (No backup strikers for Jesus). RIP sweet season.
