(Cartwright and Agar are clearly only playing today because they're in their Ashes plans)

Much love for noted ODI specialist Ed, but on his point I respectfully disagree. Gotta try these blokes out in meaningless series ahead of the WC lest we become England and look good ahead of time and fail ignominiously when it matters.

Does anyone else feel like Zampa is the Lyon of ODIs? Every time Australia drop him it's a mistake.

Whatever it takes!!!
Long term, I do think it will benefit India more if Raina finds his mojo back and is back at #4 before the WC rolls around. He has done well in ODIs in England before and I think he is a better shout and might even allow us to bat MSD at 4 and let Raina, Jadhav and Pandya take care of the 30-50 over chunk.

Not much, other than never actually having seen him play well
he's ugly to look at but he's already turned in a bunch of good performances. He's done way better than anyone else we have tried except for Jadhav. And he's gun in domestix as well. Also a good fielder.

He's also a proven uphill skier - he's terrible at cashing in on good positions (which really is something he should work on for International cricket) but is superb under pressure.

Pandey is averaging 38 with a SR of 90+ just 13 games into his ODI career. With a matchwinning 100 away from home and a couple of useful fifties.

Just 13 innings. 14 games.

What on Earth do you guys expect from a new batsman in the middle order, seriously.

We should move forward with guys like KL, Karun etc. Not backwards with Raina.

It's pretty much the perfect time to test him out for an extended stint, too.

Pandey just doesn't inspire confidence. Maybe it is just that he looks bad like ***** says but I squirm more than sit peacefully when he is at the crease.
