Who else is looking forward to the Ireland vs WI ODI? I mean the WI pace battery can destroy Ireland batting, but if they don't then it can turn out to be an interesting match.

WI will score 350+ for sure if they bat first and can get Ireland out cheaply.Maybe Gayle gets another 200 you never know

Lewis
Gayle
Ambris
Samuels
Hope+
Mohammed
Holder*
Nurse
Cummins
Taylor
Joseph/Williams

That actually looks like a handy ODI side on paper - will dominate against Ireland, and can trouble England too

That team isn't scoring 320 plus consistently so no way they trouble England.

The bowling worries me more tbh. Without Narine there's no mystery at all and it has no real pace. I also can't see Gayle et all being too enamoured with day night matches at the end of September. So I don't have huge expectations of our fielding.

I'm looking forward to seeing Evin Lewis, he was in ridiculous form during the CPL but hasn't translated that to ODIs consistently yet. Above all I want to see what Sunil Ambris brings to the table with bat and gloves, especially given Dowrichs struggles.

Will Ambris keep or Shai Hope?

Ireland could knock off that XI imo
I don't think there's an XI in world cricket that Ireland couldn't possibly beat in an ODI if things went their way (ie. Ireland's best day is better than the worst day of all the other teams). Most likely scenario is them getting smashed though.

Yeah, getting Sharjeel'd by Evin Lewis is a not-unlikely possibility.

Don't they have a terrible weakness against any decent legspin? IIRC both Rashid Khan and Adil Rashid destoyed them in their last few ODIs.

WI have Bishoo if they want to use him.
