International Coach
Kyrigos needs an elite coach to get to the next level, very little fight today and as usual poor attitude when **** was hitting the fan.

A little surprised by Zverev gone so early, but Coric was a nasty 2nd round draw. Zverev will be a beast, but the kid has under whelmed in Slams. He probably wins Australia now.

Another good win for Edmund. It feels strange having a journeyman pro capable of regularly negotiating the opening rounds of Slams. We've always had nothing or contenders (I know Henman didn't contend much away from SW19 but he felt a contender).

How very dare you, Chris Wilkinson was brilliant for one week a year (the first week of Wimbledon) every year. Never won a match till the following June but made that week count.

Federer's not going much further in this tournament even if he scrapes past Youzhny today.

Down 2 sets to 1, up a break in the 4th.

I wonder if Federer has ever played 10 sets to get through two rounds before. Hard to believe he can win the tournament, but it's a thin looking field.

Yep, that's why I'm not losing hope even though he's looked dreadful so far.

If he can play himself into some semblance of form. and his body starts feeling better along the way, there's hardly anybody in the draw who looks in seriously good shape. Good opportunity for Nadal also, his draw is great up to the SF and he has no fitness issues that we know of.

I can't think of too many back injuries which get better with prolonged use though. I think it will be tough for him to get beyond the fourth round with the way he's moving. Shame he's hurt, the possibility of winning three slams in a year at age 35 is pretty amazing.

Rather than winning a Slam without dropping set he's going the route of dropping as many as he possibly can. Can't imagine it's been done before

He badly needs a couple of 3-setters or he's going to fold up in the 2nd week of the tournament. Real shame, but him and Nadal taking turns at winning the grand slams this year feels appropriate. Would be a real shame though if it doesn't finish with another epic 5-setter between the two of them.

Nadal's biggest issue is getting past the 4th round or so. He tends to gradually play himself into form as the tournament progresses, on these faster surfaces. His draw looks pretty friendly.

Assuming Federer does get better, he could have a tough quarterfinal against Del Potro.
