That was the single easiest Test ton I've ever seen. He was dropped twice and then he and Cook batted all day without scoring boundaries as Dhoni put five men on the boundary the entire time. Nek minnit, 500/3

Mogs also hit a fantastic one the previous summer against Pakistan so I'm sure he could bat a bit. In the end he was dropped for failing in Asia and averaging 30 overall, which is not exactly unheard of among our current batsmen.

We miss KP in the same way we miss Vaughan, Trescothick, etc. He's done.

Exactly. As much as I love KP (and I do love KP) he's completely done in regards to international cricket. He can't even finish a T20 game anymore because of injuries, and only managed 2 T20 games for Surrey this season, a Test match would kill him.

Malan has been in two 100+ partnerships in two tests. He's not exactly built a watertight case but it'd be churlish to say he's been useless.

He looked useless against SA but is looking more confident now against WI where as Westley looked better against SA and now looks clueless. Malan impressed me yesterday in a tough situation, be nice to see him go on and get a decent score today and basically seal his ashes place.

The bloke has hit two big hundreds this summer. It's not exactly dire straits.
