Reckon that Australia aren't as far behind at the scorecard suggests. BD has a batting unit haven't shown any real spine in the past, and Aus have the bowlers to take advantage of that. Add to that Smith in the 4 innings alongside Renshaw, Handscomb, and this tail...it's still 50/50 IMO.

It would be very typical of BD to get the first innings lead and still lose.

Problem with Bangladesh as a test side is that only a bunch of them have been part of the transformation required at test level. A significantly large proportion of them still dont make much of a contribution..The likes of Shafiul, Soumya, Nasir, Sabbir, Kayes make little to zero contribution. That's half your side filed with passengers
Soumya was an absolute star in the home series wins over Pakistan and South Africa wasn't he?Admittely done very little since.

Yeah if lead is like 30ish and they lose 2 quick wickets Aussies will smell blood and Bangladeshi heads could drop.

Bangers are absolutely ahead. Australia obviously still in it though. Stop trying to Gambhir, ain't 50/50. Batting last will suck ****

I've never seen social praise any spinner. Think he just doesn't rate the lot of them. Especially subcontinental finger spinners.

43 run lead. I wouldn't feel safe defending less than 250, so BD need atleast 200 here.

The goal should be to bat long, but if the England tests are anything to go by they'll be looking to be aggressive and score quick. It's not a bad strategy given that this pitch is already producing some unplayable deliveries and survival may be futile, but it's going to be ****ing frustrating to watch...

Bangladesh still strong favourites. This is going to get way worse yo bat on and anything over 200 should be a nightmare to chase. They just need to be sensible and bat Australia out of the game now.
