time to rest, regroup, make a plan, and get out there and finish this off

I wonder if coaches and teams come up with bowling strategies for tailenders now days.

Well, that old Australia spirit is just incredible, isn't it? They're still behind yes, but there's no doubt who the happier team are as they walk off for tea right now. Each run Aus gets over two hundred will see BD's confidence shrink even further. A big part of this game is of course about the mental side of things. If Australia get the lead down to around 30 by the close of this innings then it will be very intriguing to see how BD will respond.

Problem with Bangladesh as a test side is that only a bunch of them have been part of the transformation required at test level. A significantly large proportion of them still dont make much of a contribution..The likes of Shafiul, Soumya, Nasir, Sabbir, Kayes make little to zero contribution. That's half your side filed with passengers

Bit harsh. They're still ahead in this game and tbh they've created enough chances to be batting again already. I mean, they have as many passengers in their side as Australia does away from home.

Sabbir was valuable against England and Kayes since comeback is averaging 40+. This is also literally Nasir's first test in two years.

There is some element of truth to what you are saying, but its still a significantly stronger side than it once was, and they are atleast on par with WI and SL.

And now they delay the restart as the groundsman stands in the middle with no covers on. Cricket, never change.

Yes they are absolutely a stronger side, no one is denying that but mainly on the back of Shakib, Tamim, Mushfiq and the emergence of Mehedi. I'm also a fan of Kayes 2.0 and will give him a pass for this game but here's the the thing..if you're looking for partnerships and getting you out of trouble, you can only count on Tamim and Shakib and Mushfiq. If you want wickets, you can only go to Mehedi or Shakib. That's pretty much how they won their 2 test matches, plus Mosaddek who they are sorely missing in this game.

Here is where you needed a Shafiul to get a wicket, Nasir to get a 50.

This partnership has kept the Aussies in the game, if Bangladesh can get a 40-50 run lead though that could be match winning. Anything over 180 is going to be a stiff chase in 4th innings.

It's embarrassing how often our tail needs to bail us out these days.

Warner is the Australian Sehwag. Home track bully who doesn't travel well. People compared Hayden to Sehwag but Hayden was far more complete as a player. Warner on the other hand is Sehwag mk II

Demeaning, Sehwag was never an accomplished author like Warner.

Shakib is a bog standard, left arm dibbly dobbler

Best all rounder in the world?

50 would still be a decent lead. Means even a disastrous collapse could still leave a competitive score.
