Ethan Ampadu called up for Wales at 16, be even more galling when we get about 500k for him from Chelsea.

New round of LMS BTW, forget my over-all toxicity on the site, it's a long-standing tradition, bit like a Confederate statue.

Be even more galling when he's then sent out on loan to Gillingham.

Ian Wright blaming the managers over Lampard-Gerrard not working, it was about 5 managers I think, but yeah Hoddle would have been the golden elixir, amazing to hear yet again the golden argument that they're both so good it can work, despite the countless matches it didn't.

For me it would have been either Essien or Kante and Scholes/Gerrard.

TBH, they're right. England has had and continues to have ********* managers. Mourinho also wanted to play them together, and I'm sure most managers would have.

Lampard at times online may not get the credit he deserves, an absolute goal scoring all round beast. Keane or Viera not been in the side is absurd.

Mourinho wanted to play them both in front of Makelele though, which would have worked great. A midfield 2 is just a waste of both.

I've vague memories of Sven dabbling with 352 with Beckham sitting deep to try and accommodate them both. I think it wound up with us losing to Norn Iron though I may have my timelines mixed up.

Yeah didn't he also bring in Hargreaves and play Rooney up front on his own at one point? Might have been that Portugal game where Rooney got sent off.

I think that worked okish but really he needed to just bite the bullet and drop a star. England managers never have the balls for that. Remember Hodgson putting Rooney on the left wing against Italy when he was too old to move properly.

Yeah I think it was that game. Owen was injured, the sensible option was Rooney and Crouch but what do I know. And obviously he had Walcott in the squad but didn't want to play him. Bonkers.
