Yep, I went yesterday and it just doesn't work in England. Big chunk of the crowd left at tea, was to cold

How did we bowl yesterday? The scorecard suggests that we didn't make the most of conditions, but I didn't catch any of it.

Anderson bowled well, we dropped two catches and Broad was poor despite the two catches going down off him

I can't see us bothering with day/night tests in future, weather isn't right for it here as it stays light too long and at the times when it will be dark enough early enough it will be too cold and the dew problem would be too great. Ideal for places like UAE where there are no crowds and they may get some but no point in England.

Yes, that was my impression from the round of county day/nighters that they had in preparation for this. It is freezing and just doesn't work. It is alright sitting for two-three hours in those conditions for a Twenty20 but not seven-eight hours. More people were leaving rather than arriving. Also everybody seemed confused about the intervals, and it just didn't feel right.

So having lost about 25 overs, the scheduled start is moved forward all of 30 minutes, despite being a D/N match.
No wonder the weather gods decided to have a laugh and rain straight away.

Fair play they are crap. Hope they show some fight and actually prove they have a brain between them too or this is going to be a poor series to watch.
