Awful shot. He's had a terrible series.
Watching QDK in the 1st innings, it looked like his spell batting at 4 had knocked the confidence out of him, even when batting down the order again.
And yeah, driving out of the rough at an off spinner wasn't a great idea.

Our slip catching has been as good as I've ever seen in this series. Cook especially solid. Barely missed a thing as a group.

Lot of crap Southern African batsman on show for both sides but I think de Bruyn is the worst. He looks petrified when batting.

I think Ashwin averaged around 10 or so against South Africa when they toured but Ali must be close to that.
23 @ 16.34 so far in this series, with only Anderson averaging better than him (18 @ 15.38) and I want them both to share the final 4 wickets so it's 25 and 20 taken for the series.

He is another batsmen that has just disappointed so much... difficult for him because he is just getting the odd game. Still rate him. But the SA batting display has just been poor and none of the youngsters/ new guys have done anything to help.
