Just need to pick proper batsmen until we find some who work, to be honest with the way most Test sides are we don't need 11 players to win consistently just 10 rather than the 7/8 we've been used to over the last few years.

TRJ is a good find to replace Jimmy. Hope he continues the good run in the domestics. Doesn't deserve to get dropped in the slightest but Woakes has to come in.

Moeen on first thing is great move, and not one Cook would have made. I think on the whole Root has been more proactive with bowling changes/decisions in general and not defaulted to Anderson/Broad 12 overs from start anywhere near as much.

Target is a long, long way off. I would love these two to put on 150 or so. Even then England would be favourites, but it would start getting interesting.

England are heavily the favourites, but Amla-DuPlessis can hope for a Dravid-Laxman style partnership here.

I would back England even if SA were 4/280 tbh.
Yeah, I am reminded of Australia's chase in Chester-Le-Street in 2013. Warner and Rogers had a 150 or so opening partnership chasing around 300, then they folded for 220 or so. Collapses in 4th innings chases are to be expected.

Examples of it are a dime-a-dozen tbh. 4th innings chases are ****ing hard.

Amla showing his pure class, he looked clueless when he was first in but didn't give it away and now looks supreme
