He got out scooping the first ball that Shami bowled today. That is the worst part. Its at least to an extent understandable if you are batting with the tail and trying to retain strike and you have seen which areas of the pitch are doing what when the seamer is bowling into it, but this was just ridiculous.

He played brilliantly yes, but that last shot was just cringe worthy. The best part of his knock was that since he came in, he gave himself a few balls to see what is happening and then decide which shots he was going to play. There was a plan and purpose and rationale behind all the shots but that one was just a bit of a CBF shot really.

Got to say I like how Ash has got his wickets in this innings. Almost all of the wickets he got were not off balls that did something untoward off the pitch. And the last one, defeating Dilruwan with loop, dip, turn was just tasty for a spin bowling fan.

Yeah follow on has been enforced. Nice lunch break before they start bowling as well. The script could not have been better so far for India in this game even if Kohli himself got to write it.

I'd usually not enforce it unless I was not confident in winning the game, but in this case batting on seems pointless. I suppose following on gives Sri Lanka a target - for India to bat again, but they're so far behind I can't see them doing it.
