Granted the first I've seen of him was at the champion's trophy, but in that tournament and the series just gone against Zim he's bashed plenty of runs. Maybe my comment was a little premature but he looks good to me

This has been SL's biggest failure in the last 2 years. They simply haven't found and developed a suitable successor to Herath yet. They tried with Kaushal for a while but then he got banned. After Herath retires, which will be pretty soon, they're going to get even worse. Bit scary for them, really.

Clearly India's day and well done to them for a fantastic batting display. Didn't see much of the game but looks like we pulled it back by the end of the day? Glad to see Pradeep in the wickets as he has been doing well recently.Not sure that Gunathilake should have played ahead of dhananjaya personally but hope he proves me wrong..lot of people saying that we will be done for when Herath retires- yes very difficult to replace a legend but I am confident that Sandakan will do well for us in the future but he isn't ready yet to be fair..

Surprised nobody has mentioned Pushpakumara in relation to Herath retiring,guy seems to be a giant of domestic cricket

tbh personally I don't know that much about the domestic circuit but I do know that it isn't particularly strong unlike other countires-having said that I suppose if he is doing well then that's not his fault..

Dilruwan normally does ok in terms of holding one end but he is also a capable lower order batsman and we need everyone we can get at the moment lol
